Black Holes Can Emit Gravitational Lensing Light

Bending reality.

Black holes warp spacetime so intensely that they bend light around them, creating magnified or multiple images of background objects. This is called gravitational lensing.

Why This Matters

It matters because lensing allows indirect detection of black holes and mapping of mass distribution.

It also tests general relativity in extreme conditions.

Did You Know?

Black holes can bend and magnify light from distant stars and galaxies.
