The Moon Has Water on It

The Moon isn’t completely dry. Water exists where you wouldn’t expect it. Even sunlight doesn’t erase it.

Water has been detected as ice and molecules. It exists in shadowed craters and in lunar soil. Some water comes from comet impacts. Some forms through solar wind reactions. Molecules cling to dust grains. The Moon quietly hoards water.

Why This Matters

This matters because water supports exploration. It can be used for drinking and fuel. Missions become more sustainable.

It also reshapes our understanding. Airless bodies can still hold water. Space is less barren than assumed.

Did You Know?

Lunar soil contains water molecules created by solar wind interactions.
